The Illiterates' Son

This is the incredible story of a child who was born into an illiterate family and went on to achieve great academic success. He earned a Ph.D. from the University of Adelaide in Australia, an M.Ed. from the University of Leeds in the UK, an M.Sc. from Marshall University in the USA, a B.Ed. (Honors) from Addis Ababa University, and a BA from Asmara University. Today, he is a professor at Marshall University, and his impressive list of accolades includes a British Council Scholarship, an Overseas Postgraduate Research Scholarship (OPRS) in Australia, a Fulbright Scholarship, and a Carnegie Fellowship.
